DESCRIPTION:What would you do if your family was forced to flee your home with little notice and only a backpack? \nThis is the reality that many migrants face due to war\, political upheaval\, and climate change. The St. Luke Social Action Ministry has partnered with the Diocesan Social Action Office to bring you a unique program that will give you insight into the immigrant and refugee crises of today. \nDate: Sunday\, November 12\nTime: 2:00- 3:30 PM (Check In opens at 1:30)\nLocation: St. Luke Parish\, McBride Hall (1212 Bunts Rd. Lakewood) \nLook for a green awning over the door.\n(Elevator/ramp are available\, but no handicap restrooms.) \nShare the Journey of our migrant neighbors:\n• Experience the journey of a Syrian Refugee\n• Learn about our church teaching on Migrants and Refugees\n• Join together in prayer for our migrant neighbors\n• Sign a letter in support of refugees\n• Enjoy fellowship with light refreshments \nAll are welcome\, bring a friend! SUMMARY:Giving Tuesday
DESCRIPTION:Giving Tuesday\nNovember 28th \nGive back to our Parish this Giving Tuesday.  \nIn 2022\, we celebrated our 100th anniversary as a parish\, and as a part of that celebration\, we began to restore our beautiful stain glass windows\, which were in urgent need of restoration. As the project continues\, the company performing the restoration found that the stone work surrounding the rose window facing Clifton Boulevard was falling apart. In order to complete the project on the windows we need to replace the stonework. \nOnce this stone is replaced\, we will be able to continue restoring the windows\, and complete the window restoration project as planned. \nThis Giving Tuesday\, we are asking for your support to complete the work we started on our centennial. All donations will go to offset these unexpected and important repairs to the church building.
