SUMMARY:Holy Saturday Food Blessing
DESCRIPTION:Holy Saturday Food Blessing\nApril 19 | Noon | St. Luke Church \nOn Holy Saturday\, the Church invites us to prepare for Easter with prayer\, reflection\, and a beautiful tradition: blessing of Easter food. This custom\, especially beloved in many European communities\, celebrates the end of Lenten fasting and the joy of Christ’s Resurrection. Families bring baskets of food – often including eggs\, bread\, meats\, and sweets – that will be shared on Easter Sunday\, asking God to bless these gifts and all those who will partake in them. \nDeacon Tom will lead this special ritual. All are welcome to bring their Easter baskets and participate in this meaningful ritual of faith\, family\, and celebration.

SUMMARY:Holy Week | Tenebrae
DESCRIPTION:Tenebrae\nJoin us for Tenebrae\, known as “The Service of Darkness” at 7:30pm. \nWhat is a Tenebrae Service? \nTenebrae is an ancient prayer celebrated during Holy Week which includes a series of psalms and the extinguishing of candles so as to bring the evening into the darkness of Holy Week and the Passion of the Lord.  It was originally prayed in monasteries as Matins and Lauds before the Triduum. \nConsider joining us for this very moving prayer.
