October Collection for SocksPLUS and Sandwich Ministry Snack Drive

No one should have to go without the basic necessities required for human dignity. 

In 2014, Community West Foundation started the SocksPLUS initiative after learning that socks were, and still are, the number one requested item by the homeless.

During October 1-31, 2022, our parish will again collect socks, underwear, backpacks, etc. that will be given to the homeless through the SocksPLUS program.

We will also collect individually-wrapped snacks and treats for the St. Luke Sandwich Ministry. These items will be given to St. Herman’s in addition to the weekly sandwiches made by our volunteers.

Shopping lists for SocksPLUS and the Snack Collection are available this weekend (9/17-9/18) at the church doors and in the vestibule. Collection bins will be placed in the back of the church beginning the first weekend of October. 

As a parish that has always taken the words of Matthew 25 o hear, we thank you in advance.
