Mission Statement
We, the Faith Community of St. Luke the Evangelist, building upon our Catholic tradition, seek to grow together and encounter Christ by celebrating the true presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist, the Word, and one another.
Drawing upon our patron, St. Luke, we aspire to dedicate ourselves to Jesus Christ in service to his Church.
Each of us are called to be witnesses to Christ as we seek to encounter and foster community among all God’s people through prayer, education, service, and hospitality.
“Parishes are the place where God’s people meet Jesus in word and sacrament and come in touch with the source of the Church’s life.”
— POPE FRANCIS
Frequently Asked Questions about Mass
What is the Mass like?
The celebration of Mass is both reverent and joyful. St. Luke incorporates different variations of music which allow one to spiritually encounter the Lord in the sacraments. Our 4:30pm Mass is traditional music including music from our organ. Our 9:00am Mass is traditional music with our choir. Our 11:00am Mass is a bit more contemporary.
How should I dress for Mass?
We have no official dress code; we encourage you to dress respectfully and appropriate for a visit with the Lord.
May I meet the Pastor?
The Pastor looks forward to meeting before and after every weekend Mass! If you would like to meet with Father Kevin for a personal or pastoral reason, he may be contacted via the rectory phone number 216-521-0184.
Where do my kids go?
Children are welcome at all the liturgies. For those with children from ages 3-6, we have a Sunday School program on Sunday morning at 9:00 am during the school year. Please contact the rectory for further information. 216-521-0184
