Holy Saturday Food Blessing
April 19 | Noon | St. Luke Church
On Holy Saturday, the Church invites us to prepare for Easter with prayer, reflection, and a beautiful tradition: blessing of Easter food. This custom, especially beloved in many European communities, celebrates the end of Lenten fasting and the joy of Christ’s Resurrection. Families bring baskets of food – often including eggs, bread, meats, and sweets – that will be shared on Easter Sunday, asking God to bless these gifts and all those who will partake in them.
Deacon Tom will lead this special ritual. All are welcome to bring their Easter baskets and participate in this meaningful ritual of faith, family, and celebration.
