A lot of projects are going on here at St. Luke. I wanted to give you a quick update on three of them. First, the replacement of the retaining wall in front of the church is in progress. It was delayed due to all of the rain. This is one of the projects from the We Give Catholic campaign.
The second project is the area between the school and the church building. Work in that area should begin within the next three or four weeks. It will include a fair amount of concrete work. The area may be blocked off for a few days. This is another project from the We Give Catholic campaign.
Finally, we are having the exterior statues cleaned. The funds for this project came from a generous donation from a couple here at our parish. The Therese statue next to the southeast entrance and the Mary statue behind the St. Luke sign are now complete. See the picture of the Mary statue below. The four large statues on the front of the church will be taken down in the next few weeks. Henninger’s will take them to their shop for cleaning. They will also clean the ledges the statues sit on. The statues have gotten really dirty and very much in need of cleaning.
Have a blessed week!
