It is such a joy having another seminarian assigned to our parish this year. Anthony is a joy to be around and is enriching our parish in many ways. I never thought I would meet someone with as much, if not more, enthusiasm than me for proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Anthony yet, please be sure to seek him out after Mass.
We are also blessed to have two seminarians from our own parish discerning a call to priesthood. Andrew Bendahan is in his sophomore at Borromeo Seminary here in the Cleveland area. He is doing incredibly well and is loved by the seminary faculty and the other seminarians alike.
Kevin Cush is the other seminarian from our parish. Kevin is discerning a call with the Mercedarian Friars.  He sent me an email on the Feast of St. Luke giving me an update on his discernment process:
All is well here in Spain. It has been a true joy now being officially a part of the Order. Three more classmates will be arriving in November from Guatemala, so we will be full house here. On Mondays we go into Barcelona for inter-novitiate classes with religious from other congregations. It has been awesome getting to visit the city every week. Our Lady of Mercy is the patroness of the city. For the feast day of Our Lady of Mercy last month, we had a incredible celebration with the Cardinal-Archbishop and the Master General of the Mercedarians in the Basilica. Please keep me and my classmates in your prayers.
Please continue to pray for all those discerning a call to the priesthood and religious life.
Peace of Christ,
Fr. Kevin
