Centennial Update: Windows of Remembrance
St. Luke Holy Cards
During the month of November, we celebrate the Communion of Saints. These include all those who have died from this life in Christ and live with Him. In November, the Centennial Committee will have available at the back of the church prayer cards that feature the image of the St. Luke stained-glass window in the church. Let us remember especially to pray for departed St. Luke parishioners and for all those who have served St. Luke Parish and the parish schools during our first century.
Mysteries of our Stained-Glass Windows
The Centennial Committee completed a history and description of the beautiful stained-glass windows in the church. Mysteries such as ‘why is a windmill used to depict St. James the Less?’ are explained. Please take a moment and read the article at the Centennial tab on the parish website to learn what our windows are teaching about the lives and witness of these saints
Window Restoration Project Update
We are pleased that to date we have for the Centennial Windows Restoration Project pledges and payments to restore and preserve nearly half of the large windows. With many individual donations made, we are almost at 50% of the total project goal! Thank you to all who have donated! Watch for more information regarding this project coming soon. You can also see information in the flyer at the back of the church or at the Centennial tab on the parish website.
